Review and Publication Policy

Research articles are reviewed anonymously by local and international scholars of relevant subjects before publication in Pakistan Horizon. Research papers have to be approved by two out of three reviewers as per the HEC guidelines. The response to the submitted work can take two to three months as the reviewers remain engaged in inspecting previously given articles. The reviewers have the right not to consider the work of any author on the basis of content, research methodology or its irrelevance to the journal and in some cases can also suggest changes to the author’s work. The status of the article can be shared with authors only after the completion of the review process with the peer-reviewed reports attached. Authors are required to provide an undertaking/declaration stating that the manuscript under consideration contains solely their original work that is not under consideration for publishing in any other journal in any form and It is the responsibility of the corresponding author that s/he has ensured that all those who have substantially contributed in the manuscripts have been included in the author list and they have agreed to the order of authorship. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behaviour and is not acceptable by the journal and only 19% of the similarity index is acceptable as per the policy of HEC.
